Abstract

Reliability concerns and heightened forgery risks result from the lengthy and complicated
procedure of transferring land ownership, which is accompanied by intermediaries, verification difficulties,
and a mountain of documentation. The use of blockchain technology can transform the land registration
system, providing a solution. By doing away with middlemen and replacing them with an immutable
distributed ledger, blockchain technology decreases corruption, increases speed, and establishes trust without
requiring centralized authority. Blockchain technology guarantees secure and unchangeable records of
transactions by using cryptography, consensus methods, and hashing algorithms. To simplify procedures
while maintaining security and trust, this initiative seeks to build a land registration system that is userfriendly
and built on the blockchain. Reducing paper use will help the environment and make technology
more accessible to the general public in countries like India, where land transactions occur often.
Modernizing land registration while simultaneously contributing to environmental conservation and technical
inclusion, this approach facilitates a move from manual paperwork to digital data
